At the end of this page you’ll find a predefined profile (ffpp) of the displayed configuration. Right click on the link and save the *.ffpp file into your ffpp directory (a subdirectory of your finefiles working folder). Select “Profile / New” and choose it out of the list of predefined profiles. finefiles will automatically create and load the new profile. Select “Process / Start Process” to run.
Example 2
You’ve got a disc full of important files with great memories and you would like to maintain that the content stays unchanged — finefiles can be configured to check a previously calculated hash of the files automatically.
The configuration
Create a new profile and configure finefiles like in the screenshot below. Start the process and select the desired target folder.
Note: Because we have no input conditions, all files are checked. To ensure the integrity of the files we use a MD5 hash of the content placed somewhere inside the filename. Files with a matching hash are displayed green, with a non matching hash red. If finefiles can’t find a suitable hash the file is displayed in yellow. Right click and save the predefined profile to the ffpp folder of your finefiles installation.
